I had an egg salad, just a simple egg salad.
Egg, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and mustard mayo.
It was nice.

It would of been far nicer if I had a load of prawns and thousand island dressing.
I’ve just been chilling with my two weeks off work, or trying to with step-father having gone back into hospital, he’s fine.
Next week I'll start eating a bit more healthier. I've ordered a load of Italian foods to be delivered on Friday. Yay.

I’ve been to 8 states and driven nearly 4,000 miles in the last week. Denver to Los Angeles and back, then Denver to Kansas City to some random town in Missouri to the Oklahoma panhandle and back. I hate fast food. (I actually had some decent stuff packed to cook but it was too windy to use my campstove).

In the most part I like fast food, but I absolutely hate when your hungry, something that people and reviews have said is good turns out to be awful. That is the worst.
It not only annoys me, but gets me frustrated with myself and makes me less adventurous, because I order food when I'm hungry and order something I've had many times rather than risk a half hour to one hour delivery time and wait, something that'll be around ten dollars per item and still be left hungry.

Do you generally like the travel aspect of your job, or does it wear on you? If the latter, how long do you think you can keep it up?

I do, mostly . I previously spent a year and a half in middle management and not getting surprise trips to random small towns was more boring than I expected. I’ve been doing this sort of work for over a decade and so far, so good! My biggest struggle has always been waking up early, either to fly out or hit the road by 6 am or so.
That said, I would have preferred to fly to LA. I did enjoy the scenic aspect of the drive but that used to be a cheap, direct flight that I could do in a day and still have time to pop by a museum or cultural landmark and a fun restaurant. The second trip would’ve probably been in the car regardless because you can’t get to Guymon, OK any faster by flying.

I get frustrated when I order the known quantity and it comes out wrong. Every single fast food order this trip was messed up (I ordered iced coffee, got on the road and took a sip to find out they’d used chunky rotten creamer. I ordered a breakfast burrito and got on the road to find out they gave me ketchup instead of salsa to put on it. Diet drink instead of regular drink. Etc....that said, these people aren’t paid enough to care, so why should they?)

Ahh see. I don’t eat or drink in the car. If I’m getting fast food, I eat it on the property, either inside or outside. If in the car, I take it and park up and lean against the car or on the tailgate.
But if they get something wrong in the order I do the British, not complain (well I do to everybody else, except where it’s supposed to be directed. Lol) and simply don’t go back there again, or remember to fully clarify what I want the next time.
But generally I’m with David Mitchell o n customer service.

Glad that you generally enjoy it. Pretty cool to see the whole country on the company dime. I assume you’re a voracious consumer of podcasts and audiobooks.
“ still have time to pop by a museum or cultural landmark and a fun restauran” - this would make it worth it to me.

You should do a monthly (or biannual, whichever makes more sense) Google map for OPPO to show your travels (anonymized as necessary, of course), and share some of your favorite stops/restaurants that you visited. Would be cool to follow your travels, and give people ideas for stops as they explore.
We used Google Maps and Roadtrippers for route/stop planning when we did our 5000 mile western road trip a couple years ago.
